Contributors to radio invention r Guglielmo Marconi, Nikola Tesla, Alexander Popov, Sir Oliver Lodge, Reginald Fessenden, Heinrich Hertz, Amos Dolbear, Mahlon Loomis, Nathan Stubblefield and James Clerk Maxwell. Marconi is generally referred as father of radio. But,Marconi can scarcely be called an inventor. His contribution was more in the fields of applied research and engineering development. And finally about the year... Supreme Court case in 1943 ruled that Tesla was the father of Radio. Marconi's first patent was issued in 1900 and Tesla's in 1898.

Radio signals...not the radio itself. Deforest completed the process.

from what i can find it was invented by Guglielmo Marconi. He was born in Italy, and conducted experiments on his fathers estate in June 1895. Later ion he moved to England and was granted his first patent on radio communications in 1896. Later he formed the Marconi Company to develop wireless communications.

In 1943, the Supreme court overturned Marconi's patent on radio technology. They voted in favor of Nikola Tesla's patent instead...but this only resulted in wireless signals, not the radio itself.

I am thinking maybe China did it. I am not really sure about that. It could be Korea too.

Although radio invention was long attributed to Guglielmo Marconi, today we recognize that the inventor of the radio is Serbian-American genius Nikola Tesla. However, the identity of the original inventor of radio, at the time called wireless telegraphy, is contentious. Development from a laboratory demonstration to commercial utility spanned several decades and required the efforts of many practitioners.

In the 1900s, American inventor Lee Deforest created the last three components needed to create the first radio. The triode, the amplifier, and the audion that he patented in 1907. He was also the first person to use the word..radio. His work resulted in AM radio which led to radio stations. His audion vacuum tube was also the key component of the telephone, radar, television, and computer systems prior to the invention of the transister in 1947.
