what is your favorite painting who was the artist and why do you prefer it to the many other paintings out there??? for me it is general everything by luis royo , olivia de'bernardis... as well as m.c. escher

MY favourite painting is the famous Sunflowers by Van Gogh. I love Van Gogh's works and I was truly eleted reading Irving Stone's fictional biography of Van Gogh, 'Lust for Life'. Another painter, whose works I love happens to be Van Gogh's friend Paul Gauguin. I got introduced to him and his works by another fictional biography of Gauguin by Somerset Maugham, 'The Moon and Sixpence'. I like Salvador Dali and Picasso as well.

ah yes i forgot about dali.. i love his work i can look at any piece and get lost wondering what was going through his mind when he painted it
