Do you like to visit websites with high quality layouts?

In my experience, I enjoy visiting websites with: 1) Quality content, 2) Interactive, 3) Nice layout. I love websites that on the first time I saw it, I'll say, 'Wow!' because it has a really nice layout. It makes me come back to view the layout and for some reasons, it can increase the popularity of the site. Do you think that high quality layouts used in the site are affecting their popularity? Do you like to visit websites with high quality layouts or do you like it professionally designed?

I like the optimized things in computer and also in my life, algorithm is a good subject in this regard, howevery I like those web sites which have high quality layouts and still they dont take time to load, like yahoo, hotmail, they load very fast
