is valentine's getting to be a commercial thing?

listen to the radio and the sappy love songs have started to play more often...people have this stars in their eyes and this feeling in their hearts that they cant seem to get rid of. :) and everyone literally is cashing out on a gift may it be for a friend, a family member, or a lover. now, dont get me wrong, its actually nice to receive something on valentines, problem is, the event is getting way to commercial, that people tend to forget the real reason why its being celebrated in the first place...its being celebrated to show love. and believe me, usually the immaterial things are what counts the most...and they surely do last longer. :) what do u think? is valentine's getting too commercial? c'mon...show some love...tell me what u think
