Sibling Rivalry?

We are 5 in the family. I have 2 sisters and Im the middle child. Usually, the eldest is the leader, while the youngest is the fave. But what about the middle child?
Thank God, sobling rivalry doesnt exist within our family. We are treated equal by our parents. But I have a friend who has been complaining about sibling rivalry within their family. What should she do about it?

There is only my sister and I in our family but we had tons of sibling rivalry growing up. It had nothing to do with our parents not treating us equally though, it was just due to strong personalities. We are great friends now :) I personally have three children, ages 12,8 and 7 and there's always sibling rivalry amongst them as well. Although it drives me crazy sometimes, I realize it is just a natural part of life and hopefully when they are grown they will share close relationships with each other as well.
