i know most parents wont admit this but in reality there really is a "favorite child." my mom for instance always gives in to my youngest brothers wants..even if he's alreayd 21 years old, he's still a mama's boy. my husband is his moms favorite..his mother (my mother-in-law) told me. see..isnt it unfair for the less favorite kid? im a parent myself though i only have 1 child so far, i think i would feel guilty if i dont give equal and fair treatment to my childeren.

I don't have a favorite. I love them equally. I don't want to have favorites either. Though it may seem like I am always favoring the youngest one. I believe the little ones need you the most because they are too little. The bigger ones may feel jealous but I tell them that they were luckier when they were smaller. Like with my first born, he had all my attention. When he slept, he didn't have a sister yet who woke him up every time... no one who wanted to share his toys with him. My little one barely gets to sleep for long periods of time because the bigger ones are too loud or they wake her up. I want my kids to grow knowing that I gave them the same attention when they were at certain ages.
