"1)Got what they wanted and don't have to impress anymore. 2)Happy and when most people are happy they eat all the time 3)They are comfortable and not worried about their spouse 4)Too busy to eat

Well, I don't think that happens all the time. We pay more attention to overweight people than we do thin people or couples. I think it simply because as we get older, our metabolism slows, it gets harder to exercise, and if you are a woman, or even a man, when you cook for a whole family, you are apt to gain weight. Especially if you have children, a person is apt to get whatever meals are quick, which include fast food. So the quality of your own health disingrates into being there for your family, working a lot to pay the bills (watch those cafeteris and vending machines), in addition to just finding time to exercise. I must note that I am a single girl in my mid twenties, so this all just a theory born of observation and interesting conversations. : )
