has this ever happened to you?

my two year old daughter decided to open her bottom drawer to her dresser and climb her dresser in the process her dresser tipped over and her telivision came down and smacked her in the head she ended up with two black eyes a swollen eye and a bruised forehead.I was a nervous wreck I brought her to the er she had to get a catscan done luckily everything was fine.now everytime i go out with my daughter people look at me like i abused her or sometrhing dont they understand that kids climb and get hurt?why do people have to judge when they dont even know you?im against spanking my kids never mind abuse alot of kids climb and get hurt people need to realise this and stop judging.what are your thoughts on this?

I'm glad she's O.k but don't you know you are not supposed to put a T.V ontop of a dresser. My T.v is on a proper stand and it is held on by the proper belt because accidents do happen

The good news is that she is okay. I wouldn't worry about what other people think, I am sure that most people are staring at hurt because they feel bad, and like it or not it is a natural reaction to have great concern for a small child even it isn't yours. I am a completely paranoid parent so everything that is heavy and could possibly have been pulled down is anchored (sp) to the wall.
