If you say I love my boyfriend or girlfriend and then say I love pizza, do you mean the same thing?

Oh by no means, my dear. I certainly have a appreciation for certain things that are not of my same taxonomy. When I inhale the bouquet of a fine Australian Cabernet, for example, I have a great appreciation for its aesthetic value. Likewise, when I taste the sublime elegance of a well cooked meal, I appreciate that disparate flavor profiles have come together to create something magical. Even when i listen to the Beatles, I can appreciate the majesty captured in the melody of "Across the Universe." But Love, that is a many splendid thing not to be confined by any simple taxonomy. Love between two people (who am I to belittle gender discrepancies, though I prefer women), is an alchemical process that cannot be captured in words--not even by the Masters--Shakespeare, Browning, Keats, Byron, the Troubadours--not even they were able to TRULY capture what Love is in mere words, for Love goes places where mere words cannot go. How's that for inspired?

I can tell you why I love my hubby and I can tell you why I enjoy pizza. LOVE could be appropriate for both if my husband wasn't an a$$ at times and my pizza wasn't under cooked. LOL, I am confused! I thought I had it figured out until I thought about it! Now, I am sure I don't! Good one!

Love is a shy smile, a sweet hello, a soft caress... Love is two hands entwined, a lingering kiss, a swelling of the heart... Love is undeniable, unforgettable, unimaginable, and what every heart yearns for...

Thankyou Dan. It feels so overused, has the true meaning been lost. Hope we don't become de-sensitised to it. Love does create a bond I agree.
