Well , i am sure this debate can go for long ,really long. SO i wanted to know people's opinions here. Discuss about these processors in various segments, like single core double core. Also write in what fields which processor rules. Example for gaming , for animation , for photoshop. Which is economical and more overclockable I personally am an AMD fan . I have 3200+ which runs at stock speeds. Its performance hasnt detoriated since the time i have started using it. Its an awesome gaming machine at this price it can beat intel by a mile...

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you!

in my opinion i think Intel is superrior to AMD because Intel processors have a bigger cache and AMD processors aren`t working at the indicated frequency unless they are overclocked when Intel works at the indicated frequency...of course Intel`s celeron processor isn`t quite good ...but the rest of Intel processors leave the AMD behind

If you want a gaming RIG then go for an AMD proc but if you want a development PC then might as well go for intel

I have heard that AMD is superior than Intel especially for gaming computers that have 2 or 3 hard drives and multiple video cards. I have had both myself, I really can't tell the difference.

ur right amd is far better then intel becoz of its prize vs performance in india a p4 2.4 ghz processor costs about Rs - 6500+ but an amd 3000 + processor & asus motherboard can be purchased below Rs 6000. is'nt this just great so if te money of mother board is saved so we can use it to purchase A PCI express 128 mb card. that can fullfill naw a adys standard gaming
