How to save gas

I got this in an Email - though it sounds like Carlin - it is not him How to save gas. George Carlin's Solution to Save Gasoline Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop Using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq. Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved. ------ I received this and thought-interesting solution. I think that many of the military jobs there are quite high tech and would require some education but this would be a way to ensure that not only can people immigrate here, they can get an education so they don't spend the rest of their lives in a field. What do you think about such a proposition?

Sounds like it could work better than what we have right now. Love George Carlin. Some may not like the choice of peoples mentioned in this sharing. Thanks for bringing this to share with all of us in this discussion!

I thought this was funny, I really did not expect anyone to take anything with George Carlin's name next to it seriously. Although it could be a plan. Thanks.

I think it would be a great idea. If they can not do the high tech stuff, put them on the front line fighting. They really should have to do more for this country than walk in here and take jobs away from American citizens who pay their taxes and dues.

I agree, I think if they want to live here and benefit, they should pay their dues, just as well as our kids do.

Geez - I happen to agreee with this one. Even though it was probably thought of as one of those jokes, it does makes sense, & probably whacky enough to work. If Shrubbery the Veggie wants to ship 21,500 more troops there, just have 21,500 supply packs containing a rifle, canteen, & ammo for these illegals who are willing to put up a good fight.

I think we should be cutting down on our armys not increasing them. Encouraging people to join up and get a fighting mentality isn't good as they can't stop being like that once they leave. Also being told what to do and not being able to make any decisions for themselves makes it hard for them to adjust once they leave. I agree that immigrants should work, but there are plenty of jobs out there that they could do which wouldn't involved the possibility of them being killed.

Michelle, I don't know what you have hear abot the military, but it does not remove yor ability to make decisions, nor does it give you a fighting mentality. But for many people, it gives them a chance to start a new life, my son is currently in the Navy. He was the originial anti-honor student in high school, we were wating for a phone call to tell us if we passsed all his classes and would graduate 2 days before his high school graduation. Less then 1 year later, he had complete boot camp, had earned 28 college credits and graduated 4th in his school. He is now considering getting a degree in juvenile corrections (children who are violent without going in the military). Besides - this was supposed to be George Carlin - maybe you are too young to know who he is - he is a comedian, he wrote poems about hair Hair Poem--George Carlin I'm aware some stare at my hair. In fact, to be fair, Some really despair of my hair. But I don't care, Cause they're not aware, Nor are they debonair. In fact, they're just square. They see hair down to there, Say, "Beware" and go off on a tear! I say, "No fair!" A head that's bare is really nowhere. So be like a bear, be fair with your hair! Show it you care. Wear it to there. Or to there. Or to there, if you dare! My wife bought some hair at a fair, to use as a spare. Did I care? Au contraire! Spare hair is fair! In fact, hair can be rare. Fred Astaire got no hair, Nor does a chair, Nor nor a chocolate eclair, And where is the hair on a pear? Nowhere, mon frere! So now that I've shared this affair of the hair, I'm going to repair to my lair and use Nair, do you care? (Beard Poem) Here's my beard. Ain't it weird? Don't be sceered, Just a beard
