Hi Friends I just thought that I would put this out as maybe someone is looking for a retirement presesent to give some one I think this is a wonderful gift a journal which can be passed on to future generations. My mother wrote one and on her passing we all got a copy - it is the best thing. It talks of her life growing up in Scotland and Australia and tells us about all our relatives, dead and alive. Grandchildren, who were too small to know her or not even born, and great-grandchildren will have the benefit of this journal. It truly is priceless - Mum left a piece of her for all future generations to read. It costs nothing but time and memories I hope you like this idea as a wonderful present for someone you love.

I think this is a brilliant gift for retirement, or for a birthday for an older adult. I work for the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, and have learned long ago that most older adults truly feel a need to share their wisdom and their legacy with younger generations. And, when I went to a family reunion in Montana we took the opportunity to compile as many photos and other genealogical sources together as possible, to piece together our ancestry. A journal of this sort would have been priceless!

Oh yes I believe it is a wonderful gift, I am trying to talk an 86 year ols neighbour of mine to do the same, she has so much history but her view is her family doesn't give her much time so she doesn't want to do anything like that for them she just says to me ....it will all go with me...oh so sad....

A journal would make a great gift. My mother will retire this year. Now I know what I will get her. Thanks so much.
