Hi Friends, I thought I would send this one our to try and help my friends understand about hygience in regards to your saliva. Your mouth can do a lot of things, but did you know it gives clues as to what's happening in the rest of your body? In fact, your mouth provides dentists and other healthcare professionals with early signs for a variety of diseases, from HIV infection to osteoporosis. So, be sure to take good care of your mouth. It's a virtual early warning system. Saliva is easily accessible for quick, painless, noninvasive testing that could potentially replace blood tests for diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, liver cirrhosis and diabetes; and that's not all, as there are currently two dozen additional tests in the development stage that focus on the mouth and its components as a detector for illness and disease.
