Osteoarthritis is the most common condition among people above forty years of age. In simple terms this is a degenerative condition which destroys the smooth outer covering (articular cartilage) of the bone. To prevent this degeneration one should start taking food rich in calcium from an early age.Otherwise we will have to take calcium supplements after the age of forty if advised by the doctor. What do you do to take care of your bones?

I used to drink Calcium from Tianshi, but because I think it's expensive, I stopped. Now I'm just drink non-fat milk twice a week. I know it's not enough to fulfill my calcium needs, but I'm fat already, and I can't drink milk too much.

Too late for me.I am disabled and only 48.I filed for disability in 1997.Long story short,I have to take all kinds of meds. especially for pain. One thing,I have to stay active but only in short time periods,as I have to take breaks all the time, but not for too long or I get stiff. Some days I can barely move.I have multiple chronic pain ailments.Could write a book.

When I was a kid I used to drink a gallon of milk a day. It used to drive my mother crazy. Now, I usually get my calcium in pill form. I do eat a lot of ice cream, yogurts and cheeses. I shall have to read up to see how much calcium I'm supposed to have on a daily basis.
