What is your favourite CD/Album?

Room For Squares by John Mayer - My favourite album. This is the US cover (the UK one is different).

Actually, I don't just want to know which one, but also why??I have a definite favourite. It's mh Room for Squares album my John Mayer (in fact, I have two, one UK and one US import). I have one for playing, and one for saving. This is because my UK one was signed by John and his band. I know it's genuine because I met him and asked him to sign it (having already got the rest of his band to sign it! hehe). This was about 2 or 3 years ago... But it was my first John Mayer album (after downloading his Neon originally). I love all the songs on there, and there isn't a single one that I don't like. I just love the bass heavy music. It's quite funky and bluesy at the same time with some great maj7th and maj9th chords in his music. Just great and uplifting. But, as I said, we all have different tastes in music, but I wanna know exactly WHY you have a favourite album... Details would be appreciated;) (And yes, I do mark my best responses)... Love and light.

I listen to a really wide variety of music, so I've got a couple here For hard rock I love The Mars Volta's newest album, Meccamputechture (it's a mouthful). I like the fact that their songs diverge from the standard verse-chorus-verse structure into much more elaborate, long compositions, and that they use a great deal of instrumentation and each member appears to be a really solid, good instrumentalist. I also love Ojos de Brujo - Bari. It's a sort of flamenco album from Spain, and every song is really solid, great singing, great playing, and all around good songs, every single person I've played the album for has really liked it.

I love music of all types from Northern Soul and Motown to indie. My favourite groups at the moment are The Killers, Razorlight, Snow Patrol and Keane. My favourite album is Sams Town by the Killers but I have loads of albums which I play all the time. I absolutely love my ipod and my only problem is that I have now almost filled it with music and videos (I have the 30gb ipod).

Right now my favorite cd is Daughtry. I watched Chris Daughtry on American Idol and absolutely loved him, and was amazed when he didn't win. I love his style, and the sound of his voice has a soothing quality to it. Where music is concerned, I am a person who goes after the lyrics more than the actual music or beat. The lyrics to Chris' songs are wonderful! Some of them are uplifting, and others just seem straight from the heart. As a writer/poet, this is what captures me, and I will just say that Daughtry has captured me!

Ray Boltz - Songs from the Potter's Field. I love every song on the CD and have a personal attachment to it because I saw Ray Boltz in concert live and he sang several of the songs during this concert but the CD wasn't releised to the public until a week later.
