Here in my country, statistics show that most young people did not register to vote in the upcoming election. Either they do not want to choose between the puppet on the right or the puppet on the left, or they just do not care. Any thoughts about this? Why or why not vote?

I did register and yes, I am planning on voting this coming May. Most of my friends are registered too (yeah, we're all trying to hold on to that tiny spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, we could actually do our part and try to save the country from falling apart), but I have some friends who aren't registered and if you ask them why, they'll say either (i) that the line's too long and that the registration itself involves too much red tape. (ii) there's gonna be too much cheating anyway for our votes to be counted (iii) they don't believe in the system (iv) "huh? what?" Apathy and disillusionment are to be credited for the youth's lack of interest in exercising their rights to vote; but I still believe in taking chances, and i think you do, too. Here's to hoping that this coming election will be better than the last!
