exercise, balance diet, eat some supplements that will boost your health.......if all these things will not help, then take some pain relievers....

I have started menopause, and I get really bad cramps now every time I get my period. What seems to work best for me is to take Tums. That takes away the cramps.

I read some articles about some ways to lessen or avoid dysmenorrhea. One of these ways is regular exercise. When your body is well circulate and properly toned due to regular exercise, you'll have lesser or no pain at all during monthly visits. I believe it works for me, and I hope it will work for you too. Another ways are eting pineapple fruits (fresh better), lots of fiber in it, tea with toasted bread also were mentioned. Though I really couldn't explain why and how do these helps in lessening the pain. I hope it helps.
