How do you use Prince shaving cream?

I love the way it makes my skin feel, but it always seems to clog my razor. I tried using a single blade razor. My legs feel soft, but not smooth. Any suggestions?

I haven't tried prince (which means I'm totally watching this topic for info on it), but I've used smoothies as shaving cream. Are they similar? With the smoothies, I put it on very, very thinly. I find that it only takes a thin layer to work. Ok, I'm totally no help cause I haven't tried the product, but I want other people to respond so I thought I'd say SOMETHING. lol.

I've used Dreamwash before and didn't have a problem. Maybe my legs are just monsterously hairy?

I just rub a very thin layer of the cream into my skin like a moisturizer and then I shave. I do rinse the razor a lot though under running water so gunk doesn;t build up. I can't comment on the quality of the razor since mine are always dull.

I guess I don't understand what the shaving creams ARE, exactly... I'm imagining something like the smoothies. Is that what they are? Or are they more like lotion? Or soap? I'm struggling to visualize.

Prince clogs my razor so I kept trying to put it on my legs thinner and thinner. The better the razor, the worse it clogged. A single strip Bic worked the best for me. Now I use the smoothies or a shower gel mostly, even a buttercream. Prince makes my legs soft, but it messes up the way my razor cuts the hairs I think and it's just not worth it. I have used it as an after shave in shower moisturizer, but I rinse it completely and use moisturizer afterward. I've also thought about mixing my Prince with a smoothie or shower gel to thin it down.

I recently bought a small tub of Prince to try it out. I try to put it on my legs pretty thinly and I have a separate container of very hot water nearby to rinse out my razor. I used a Bic Solei razor and I didn't have a problem with it getting clogged. I think the key is the hot water to rinse out the razor a few times while shaving. I don't think I will buy Prince again though. I love the scent but I think it is too expensive to use on a regular basis. I don't think it is any better than Trader's Joes Mango shave cream or even the Skintimate line they sell everywhere. I love the scent of the Skintimate Melon Burst shave gel.

I think this is the case with the other shaving cream as well (Razorantum), because my best friend bought a tiny bottle of Razorantum, and she couldn't get it out of her razor's blades either. Have you tried having a tub or whatever of very hot water near you while shaving, and then rinsing the blade regularly in that very hot water? I am thinking that would soften up the oils and such that Prince and Razorantum are made of. I much prefer using Jungle to shave my legs. :o)

My boyfriend uses Prince, and I've tried it but it just clogs my razor too much and gets on my nerves. It sounds odd, but I use Jungle to shave my legs. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I find it a lot more effective that any of the Lush shaving creams.
