Rating myLot posts

Hi Kate...I thought it helps everyone's ratings by rating both questions and responses so I always give all good responses and questions a "+" and leave the so-so replies and questions alone rather than give a "-".

I didnt realize thats what affected the persons star rating, now that I know that I may go back and rate the people who have commented in my posts. Its only fair I think. I thought it had to do with best responses or something, thats what I get for NOT being on mylot as often as I used to be.

I do those, especially when they mark me as their "best response." I give their discussions a positive mark as my way of thanking them, a consolation for their effort of putting up such great topics. And I also found out that others abuse this just to put down other members high reputations, and I think that it is unfair for others to deserve this kind of unnecessary things. I hope that all members here would open their minds and stop playing with the moderators (positive/negative ratings).

Yes. You can rate other members here on mylot. The more positive ratings you get from other members, the higher your star rating will be. Actually, it is not mylot who rates us, but the other members who read out discussions and respond to them. Anyway, I am always giving star ratings to the discussions that i respond to. Also to those who respond to the discussions I have started. So do not worry, I gave you a positive rating. I believe that everybody needs to be rated and everybody deserves a positive rating. The effort is very much appreciated. But there came a time when i rated some negative. You know why? I have started a discussion and some posted referral links. Some even scammed me. It pissed me off. Anyway , that's the worse that I can do. Rate someone negative. I never reported someone as abuse. :) Anyway, you should rate discussions too! I think it will also affect your own ratings. Good luck (--,)

Yes i will rate for the post. Basically anyone who respond to my topics, i will rate them (+) but only if they really answering my topics approriately and not just bluffing for post sake. So far i rate all the respondant because they respond in such nice way and their respond really help me some way. Just by doing that, i hope others will rate me also :) just nice
