How can we work together to ensure everyone has access to safe drinking water?

Clean water is a necessity of life! More than a billion people don't have access to safe drinking water. How can we work together to fiX thiS??!!I ultimatelY believe that we all have to realise that if we are to live in a world where all have access to safe drinking water(or clean air, or health care), all of us are going to be willing to pay the price. None of it will be free!! I believe that we will have to embrace the concept of social democracy and communitarianism. We will have to vote not simply based on our own selfish interests but also based on what is fair and just to all. I am not sure if enough people have the willingness to set aside their short term and perceived wants and needs for the benefit of others(not when having the next hottest cell phone is of paramount importance) but I hope the wave is changing that way!!
