how can we take precaution with the natural disaster

now a days we can face anything in the world..in antartica ,the ice are melting..so, the scientist telling that ,if it is continue means ,after 50 years,the water level in the oceans are became high...and ,this may be danserous to the world...so, how we take the precaution against the nature...
