A company named TokyoPop is releasing a sequel to Labyrinth in comic form. The first volume came out some time ago and is called Return to Labyrinth. Have you heard about this? Have you read it? Do you want to read it?

I actually do have this - it was given to me as a Christmas present. It's not bad - it's basically the story of Toby, grown up and finding himself returned to the Labyrinth and interacting with Jareth. I won't give away much of the plot, but it is interesting so far. Not as good as the movie but that's unlikely! I will have to wait to see when the next one is released and how much it will cost before I decide whether I shall continue reading.

If I remember correctly, most TokyoPop books cost between $10 and $12. I have also read it and I can't seem to make up my mind about it. I might wait and buy the next one used. Sarah is supposed to play a larger role in the next one so that might interest me more. Thanks for the comment.

thank you for letting me know the approximate cost. It's good to know. I also didn't realize that Sarah would be involved more - I thought she would be just a peripheral character. I wonder how they'll play that out - should be interesting!

YES! This is good news! I'll have to check it out the next time I'm at the book store. I don't generally like reading comics, but I'm sure I can make an exception. So, is David Bowie depicted in the comic, too? *drool*

Yes, Jareth is drawn to look like David Bowie. :)

I've read the first two books in the four book manga series. I thought they were very interesting and I've read the second one at least ten times since I got it a few weeks ago. I've heard some people say that the books are very fanfiction-esque and I agree, but in a good way. I am eager for the third one to come out.

OMG I MUST GET THIS! I love this movie so much. If an official movie sequel is not gonna be made, the comics will be fine :D I have purchased a few comics by TokyoPop in the past and loved them. So the fact that it is Return to Labyrinth, that will make that specific comic that much better! I'm gonna try and track one down now! THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION!!!

I'm very glad to have helped out. The comic isn't bad, but I think it had potential to get a lot better once the story kicks into full gear. Have fun reading it. It's easy to find on the TokyoPop website or Amazon.com.

I've just seen this on Amazon and was going to start my own discussion but there's already one here. I'd like to read it just to see if they stay consistent with the film, I wonder if they will try and make a new movie? I don't think Bowie is well enough to play Jared again I wonder who they'd pick?
