I think by what I've seen these days, some kids are just spoiled brats! I feel so bad though because I think alot of the reason is the parent's fault. I know kids can't be perfect, mine act up sometimes too but not to the point where it's just uncontrollable and embarrassing. I see alot of kids just when I go into the stores how they throw fits and don't respect their parents. My first thought is what a brat, than, I wonder hmmm, why they got that way?

Lol, that's funny! I tell my kids the same thing. Or I'll say, you just wait till we go home than give them the look, and they know what that means!

I know. My son does throw fits in the store sometimes, especially when he won't get what he wants. But he knows where his going if he won't stop. "BATHROOM" and he knows what happens in the bathroom.

I think the children nowadays are more expressive and liberal. They feel that there is a need to be freed of convention and old traditions (or norms). I think this kind of behavioral pattern is brought about by the massive onslaught of knowledge and technology. Because of this, old values are shakened and generation gap widens. The youth of today challenges authority (like their parents, teachers, etc.), and they have the confidence to have their voice heard. Positive or negative? Well, it depends on where the children of today channel their efforts.

LOL i think my generation were born to spend their lifes winding me up, they start from 6am each morning and are still going on at 9pm, my 9 year old love answering back at the moment and when you ask her to do some thing you get a straight no....(so of course she gets sceamed at until its done) all she had to do was do it when i asked and my 4 year old is learning very fast off her, it's just with me, i've even gone into her school to see if she miss behaves, but she's got the highest grades in her class, all her teachers love her, she'll stay at her friends at the weekend and they aways say she's as good as gold it just with me they turn into satan

My 14 stepson (thanks goodness he's not with us anymore)is doing the same way about telling him to do some work. We don't get a no, but it takes 2 hours for him to do dishes. He gets good grades in tests, but homework and schoolwork he is always 0. We always get a call from his teacher that he is not doing his work. He is a handful.
