My son and daughter always seem to want me to do something or other, ect when I am either on the computer or doing housework in shower ect.I guess kids want your attention when they see that you our on the computer or phone because maybe they either get jealous or maybe they just love you and want your attention and want you to devote time to them.I try to devote time to my kids but sometimes it seems like its hard with it being housework, cooking, ect that you have to do.But sometimes I just think oh well it can wait for a little bit.I guess maybe some parents have that guilt every now and then but I guess maybe we shouldnt be so hard on our selves.

for me it's when i'm on the phone. my daughter can be really quiet and busy doing something on her own so i go grab the phone. as soon as i start talking she's pulling at me asking for something and wanting to talk to me.

If your kids are still below seven years old, that's not something new. They always want the attention of the people around them. Also, they do not want to lose sight of you. They want to keep on with their activities, and in order to be sure you will not leave them while they are busy playing, they want you to be kept within their sight all the time. This usually means you will be doing what they are doing. So that this could be eased out, try telling them that you have a lot of things to do yourself. These are important things because what you are doing are for the kids. Just do the explaining, you'll find out later on that they really get your point. Then give them an assurance that you will not leave them at all as you will just be doing work that has to do with the house. Thus towards the end of the talking you say:' Just call me when you need me'. And pretty sure enough, you'll get just that.

I have the same problem with my kids. Either I am on the computer or watching tv and they want me for something. Now if I am not doing anything really important then they leave me alone but the minute they see me start to do anything then comes the questions or can you do this or that for me. I ask them why you did not ask me when I was not busy 5 seconds ago and they say well we did not need it then or did not think to ask then. Oh well. I lovew my kids but wish they would give me some space once in awhile
