I need your help with this one. This coming Valentine's day will be my husband and my first one as a married couple. I would like to make it as memorable as I can by thinking of new ways/new ideas for this day. The thing is I wanted this to not be as cliche' as possible and somewhat original. Also budget is a bit tight =) so guys any suggestions for V-day? I hope to receive some reply on this one. Thank you very much.

Nothing beats such like travelling. One thing i can recommend that's really memorable is an island hopping. Getaway from home and spend time a place that's too far. It's quite expensive but its really memorable. Beach is the romantic place next to the mountainous areas.

Thank you for that response. I am a little tight on the budget and running out of time to book something. But I do agree....going to the beach is hell the best thing a couple can do. Maybe next V-day I could do that...I would just have to save as early as now =)

firstly Congratulations that is wonderful... We're not a big celebrater of Valentines Day.. I would suggest a Nice candlite Dinner that's Romantic or go to a nice resturant for Dinner then a nice walk somewhere. Gifts for a male can be hard I would try something sentimental something that interest him.

Assuming that there are no kids at home. It would be best to celebrate Vlantine's at home (for budget reasons). Then I would set-up the place to be as serene and relaxing as possible. I would stay away from the rose petals and cheesy candle lights. I would put cloth over lamps and other light sources to set up the mood. then i'll cook dinner and possibly have some dessert. Background music should not include cheesy love songs... bossanova or spanish music (acoustic guitar) would be better. Then spend the rest of the night talking (no negative topics) and feeding each other. I guess that would work...
