What's your favorite spa treatment?

So I'm relatively new to the spa scene. As a designer, I've gotten the opportunity to design a few spas, so I figured that I had to go do a little "research" and now I'm hooked!! But I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to spas. All I've ever had done is the hour massage. My gosh, that has to be one of the most incredible things in life! My favorite spa has the best "ritual" is what they call it. For the price of most local spa's massage, you go into the spa, change into a robe. Then they take you into the tea room where they spray your preferred aromatherapy around you, then give you a foot bath and foot massage. From there, you have 15 minutes of heaven (so much better than the game you played in the closet in middle school!) in the shower experience, which is almost like a car wash. Water is coming at you from every angle. From there, you get the massage. And after that, when you're so blissed out that you don't know which end is up, you go back to the meditation room where they wrap you in warm blankets and heated rick neckrolls while they serve you their organic herb tea with honey while you gradually come back to consciousness. It's absolutely to do for!

It is a tie between having a full body massage and having a 25 minute soak in the hydrotub. If only I could afford to do them both each week! The full-body massage really does relax me. Usually I ask the therapist to concentrate on my back and shoulders. I tend to hold all of my stress there. I usually have trouble driving home because I am so relaxed.

Haha, I hear you. I almost got in a wreck once! I live downtown, so now I've started going to one where I can walk home. It's safer for everyone that way! My masseuse was telling me I should try the hydrotub. What is that? Is it like you're in the tub and someone else is in there with you? I think that might be kind of awkward! As far as the stress, I hold mine in the same place. Have you ever tried those heated neck rolls? Those help me in between treatments because I can't afford to go each week either.

I've never been to a spa, but I've always wanted to. When I finally do it, I want the whole 9 yards. Spa facial, spa manicure, spa pedicure, vicci (sp?) scrub and shower, massage....the works! The full treatment is a bit pricy, but I'm waiting for a special occasion.
