can a bad colon cause the itching and pinching of skin?

Years ago, I was told that I needed to have 2 feet of colin removed, because of severe diverticular disease. I declined to do so, and am very causious, about my diet. I have severe itching, pinching, and seems to travel to all my nerve endings. I have suffering with it for 3 years, and I wonder if it relates in any way, to my diseased colin. I have all kinds of blood work done, with no results. Can it be resulting from a 'bad colin? PLEASE HELP ME.
