I saw many people here on mylot defending creationism, nothing against it, everyone beliefs whatever wishes to. But many claim that have evidence to support it. So I ask you, creationist, to show us the evidence you that supports your particular brand of creationism.

Unfortunately, the only proof for creationism is blind faith. Which is NOT scientific proof.

Im not the avergae creatonism, because I accept evolution and at the same time the fact that god kickstarted it all. However, it falls within the ground of faith, so I dont consider creatonsim a scientific fact at all, as we can neither prove it, or disprove but, but I do get annopyed when people ignore scientific findings, after all god gave us free will to find answers, not to ignore them.

Okay with that. The problem is people that keep attacking all the evolution and saying that creationism (the worst kind of it) is scientific.

Lay people can only share their ideas as to why they find certain theory attractive and why they believe it. Providing rational proofs is better handled by scholars who are competent in their respective fields. They may use terminologies that are all 'greek' to us. That being said, it's also interesting to have a friendly dialogue for the sake of discussion. Some people think that belief in creationists uses faith to believe, I would say it takes even more faith to believe in evolution, that man evolved from monkeys etc. It's a lot easier and simpler to believe that God or a supreme being created the universe and man than to be involved in the continious search for the missing link. (with apologies to Lucy) Cheers. Good posting.

Thanks. Just a correction, man did not evolve from monkeys, it is a common misconception about the Theory of Evolution.

the thing about "faith" is, you believe it without evidence and facts, thats why its called "faith

I believe in creation but I also believe in evolution. I can not provide you with ACTUAL evidence to support either. I'm sorry, I know there are fossils so I believe that animals have evolved. I have never seen enough fossil evidence to say beyond a shadow of a doubt that humans evolved from apes. (my beliefs on what prehistoric man was have been clearly spelled out in other discussions - forgive me I just don't feel up to writing it all out again)
