I finally finished chemo!

After being on chemo for over a year, I am finally finished with it! I am so glad that I don't need it any more, and I hope to God that I never need it again. I know the chemo saved my life, and I am grateful that I was able to get it when I needed it, but it wouldn't have bothered me one bit if I had never needed it to begin with. I am also grateful for my surgeon, my oncologist, and the chemo nurses who helped me while I was on chemo and fighting cancer. I wish all the luck in the world and more for everyone who is still fighting this awful disease. My prayers are with you all. Don't give up! And thanks to everyone here for your support. It really helped a lot to know I have friends I can count on.

Oh, that's such good news Gumbysoup. You have my best wishes and I too hope you stay in remission and never have to have chemo again. I have a friend who is still battling over five years from his initial op. They couldn't remove all the cancer with the op and he's on 19 tabs a day, plus a self blood test, and hospital check-ups once a month where he has to have chemo, as needed. It's certainly a gruelling process, and I know from my friend and my grandson, that a couple of weeks after treatment is a very daunting time, when your immune system is low. But chin up! It sounds as though you've made it through the worst and I pray it never happens to you again. Brightest Blessings!

Wow! That's great news I am so happy for you! I have a friend who just passed away yesterday from cancer. He was one of the sweetest, most loving, caring people I've ever known. Unfortunately surgery and chemo didn't help him, but at the end he was ready to go on to his next adventure. I'm so happy that you are one of the survivors! ?
