My star rating dropped from 10 to 9. Considering that I have been chosen as best response. What happend? I want to know why? Do you guys have any idea about this? I mean why can the star rating drop like that if im constatly being chosen as best response? Did i violate any rules? I don't think so? So I really want to hear from the moderators.

Someone must have negatively rated you.Thats the thing which must have happened. Some people just hate it when others posses a better star than theirs. It has happened to me too.I really gets me off when people do this.

Yeah that might be what happened. I'm just not sure why they did that. I never mean any harm with my posts. I'm trying to be helpful if people need advice.

mine to has done that i was a 7 after being on here about two weeks i started a discussion that apparently alot of people disagreed with and rated me - and the next day it was a 4. i just did get my 7 back a few days ago. its crazy how people can rate you a negative just because they disagree with you. i think that should change and you could only rate someone like that if they was off topic, bad language or not abiding by the rules

Why are people like that. We are not suppose to rate - for people just because we dont agree with them.

I don't think that the star ratings change until the site updates, usually the same time as when the earnings are posted for the day. Mine goes between 9 and 10 so I am usually pretty happy with it. When people post to my thread I always give them a positive or negative (usually for a three word answer or something rude or totally off topic so they can boost their post count). + for you, you do deserve a ten star because your answers are accurate and honest.

I've been watching my star rating do a yoyo this past week, from 5 to 10, then now 8. I'm not exactly sure, but based from my observations, there are a lot of factors that affects your rating. Your mylot activity is one thing. I've dropped some points during which time I was not even active in mylot. There are those people who will give you a negative just for the hell of it. And then there are those who disagrees with you and will bring you down. I've noticed my star rating dropped back to 8 when I entered into a debate with a particular hateful person. The weirdest part is the same day my rating dropped, somebody actually gave me a best response mark. Now its steady at 8, even though in the past few days i have receive some best responses. Seems that I have a stalker.=D

If you hover over the star it says reputation ##/### which means if you are not highenough on that to have a ten it will drop this happens based on the + - and ! sign next to your name when you post. when enough people push - it will go down.If enough people push + it will raise again I pushed + for ya :)
