sell of old painting

i have one 43 year old painting depicting indian political leaders of preindependance period.i tried with christies,saffronart,sothebyes to make fair valuation for selling.but all of them rejected it as it is painted by not wellknown painter.& i donot have authenticity certificate as my father had bought at that time from market.painting is very good .it has been preserved properly.it is watercolour painting.how & where can i sell it is there any institute buying old wellpreserved painting.please let me know if u have any information about iti m from india
