I Have ask because I don,t get it. What is it about celebs and their lives that is so interesting. I notice several tvshows and magazines that display their affairs, what they wear, thair cars, homes, pets, things they,ve said.....To me it,s plain trash. It,s garbage tv! I,m maybe I bit more fed up about this than I should, because my girl friend is addicted to these shows.., which kinda bugs me.I just don,t get it.. Doesn,t it fill up your minds with tons of useless information, like, what a J-Lo doing this week and where did Paris Hilton travel last week, who,s got the newest sportscar.... I just can,t wrap my head around this?

Sure, its garbage-- but it's addictive garbage. It's interesting to hear about the lives of the actors and actresses behind the tv shows we watch and the music we hear. Their lives are so much more dramatic than ours, it's like another tv show!
If it bugs you that much, try getting her interested in some of the things you like, but try to understand the appeal of the things that she does :)

good point, it doesn,t kill me to watch it, but so much of it seems so boring to me. I try to understand, but I don,t think it is possible to grasp this overwhelming fascination of their fantastic lives,,, Ofcourse I know they interesting in some degree. But to be this addicted is not good, I see so many people just lost in this gossip. What about living your life, instead of dreaming about their....Some is ok; but hours of it, every day.. well, It,s not for me to understand. Thanks for your response.

i have never been one to get into the clebs lives either ...I find that most things they are showing are things I don't need to know about them ..their personal lives should be just that personal ...not pasted on every newspaer and tv show we seee...I must say i have found myself watching what has been going on with Anna Nicole Smith ...I didn't even know who she was ...the thing with her baby has gotten me involved and now I have found myself watching just see if if I can find out what happens to the little thing ...poor baby what kind of a life is she goign to have ...
