I once dreamt that I was dead and I could see myself floating over my own casket. What was horrible was that I could see my family crying and I had no way to tell them I was ok. What's the worst nightmare you've ever had?

That was a strange and sracy dream and probably shows fear of mortality or something, I hope you never have one so awful again! I used to have a dream every so often about being a little white fluffy cat with lots of other little white fluffy cats with flowery collars in a black world. There was this hole on the floor and if one of us got in the hole then a big pillar would shoot upwards and squash us on the sky, bits of cat would fall donw and a big brush would conme across and the rest of the kittens would have to jump the brush to survive. Tha main problem was that the hole would come in different place, I usually woke-up screaming when I ended up in the hole, deep eh?

Hi Sue, think it comes down to existential dread like yours really, haven't had it for a while luckily and I hope yours doesn't come back! Have a good nights sleep tonight, with nice dreams!

My worst nightmares correspond generally to situations where somebody is threatening my life. Like having some killer after me and having to hide in order to protect my life. I used to have the bad habit of going to bed and letting the radio on all night long. Some radio stations used to air mystery and horror programs. Generally, these programs ended up interfering with my dreams and that's how I got nightmares. The last nightmare I had goes back to May 2006. At that time, I dreamed that a snake was moving on my chest. I woke up scared to find out that the supposed snake was just my ex-girlfriend's arm who was trying to assure me as I was talking in my sleep and my facial expression was tense. I woke up the same night, reaching for air, as I had the impression that I was suffocating. I think, I will remember that night for the next coming years.

Egads! I've had that before, waking up gasping for breath. Now that is the worst!

Mine was I dreamed someone was trying to kill me and kept on begging and begging to change his mind not to kill me. I was crying so hard and my mom wake me up. I thought it was the last day of my life. I'm glad it was just a dream. It is the horible nightmare I ever had. Only one and that is it. I don't dream normally.

That would be awful! I dream a lot and usually remember them as well, but thankfully my nightmares are rare. Cheers!
