Gay Basketball player

That won't happen. People are still stereotyping people who say they are gay. It will completly disrupt the locker room. As long as the guys not checking others out, it should be fine to just keep it to himself. The press would find out and just get under the teams minds about "Do you think he's looking at you?" and just tear them apart.

I haven't actually heard this story yet. I think it doesn't really make any difference whether someone is gay or not and it is really their choice when they tell people or in fact if they tell anyone at all.

who's this basketball player? i don't think he should've come out while he was playing it would affect his career as a player and maybe his team mates would not treat him well. i don't think this wouldn't push others to reveal their true "identity", the fact that your playing in a all-male sports it will greatly affect their career.
