Digging up old graves! Why should the indian police rake up the forgotten issue?

after the death of SA ex-captain, and after punishments meted out to Indian and SA players (Gibbs included) why should out law enforcement agency rake up this issue again? I hope they show more alertness and promptness in the Jessica lal case and other brutal murders!
