Recent we come across several young girls in college and schools who are bit more worried abt their body image ..i mean they start dieting at very young age, take some wacky medicines which arent needed ...i think personally its not correct since arnd the age of 15-21 there is complete devlopment of your body and body needs all vitamins and proteins essential for strong foundation of human physique....and when body image of young girls come into picture its totally ludicrous what young girls can do to get their body image enhanced...What are ur views abt it...???

Yes body has become a big issue among girls now. During my college times i too took care about my looks but the intensity now is much more and girls are willing to try any measure to have beautiful looks. Maintaing ones body is a good thing but going mad about it is not advisable.

Yea with the increasing concentration on beauty and other aspects ...image of girl has really become an asset and to be vouched for ...may be with increasing competition in every field its really an added thing to be looked after...

Well I read a very interesting article in Japanese fashion magazine before about body image of young girls nowadays. Some girl who's around 100lb are still trying to loose some weight because their boyfriend likes skinny girl like model. Her boyfriend told them that if she doen't loose her weight soon he will break up with her. There was lots of girls who was saying a same things which was very shocking to me. Another thing I think it's from TV.Lots of singers and models are very skinny and all girly dolls are so slim as well. It's such a pressure if you are a bit meaty or have few extra pounds. I wish more girls would have more condidence including me.I have seen so many people in magazine who was very slim looked, so nice on clothes that is hot as a trend but when it turned to be "not that good" on me I wished to be more slim like them even though I am not overweight or so.

Just being skinny or slim is not the end of world there are sevral issues in this world...i mean u arent appreciated for ur beauty solely ...their are other qualities for which men are attracted towards men and beauty is one part of it...but that too at young age i feel is somewhat unecessary...!!!

Of course many girls have body image issues. With all the diet pills out there and plastic surgury. The magazines showing the skinny toothpick like models on them and the guys falling for those models. There is to much put on girls to be a picture perfect airbrushed model. Many will do anything to get that look.I think it starts at a much younger age than most would think.

There's a problem now with elementary school students obsessing about how they look, and I think it's horrible. The other day at the mall I saw a young girl and her mom, the girl was probably in grade 6 or so and was wearing loads of make up, fancy jewelry and an expensive coat, it was disgusting. That's not so much the body as it is materialistic, but still. There's a problem, and no one really seems to be doing anything except pointing the finger at anyone but themselves as the parent.

Yea that strue even without realizing other important aspects of life...some young girls unecessarily waste their time in such trivial matters..i guess the elder ones hould really advise them especially their mothers...its really waste of time...
