6 is a lot, who pays for the food and kitty litter, if they are her cats, technically she should pay. If not youhave the leverage to say it is time to lose a few, but be nice---make sure they get good homes.

Guess it would depend on if they were all indoor cats, some in some out. I have one indoor cat and for me that is certainly enough but I've also known people with more who had no problem with them. I actually went to a ladies house years back who had 54 cats - all indoors but when you went in her house you wouldn't have known she had any. Poor lady was going in the hospital for an extended period of time and had to find homes for all her cats. We went home with 2.

Well since I"m allergic to them, I'd say 1 is too many! Dogs on the other hand...I could have 10 of them. So I understand your need to have heaps of cats because I love my dogs more than I love...some of my friends :-0

Six is a lot. We have 4. But that is because I had two and them my roommate moved in with 2. So we did not plan on having that many...and there will not be anymore in the future. So far we do not have any problems having that many cats. The hard part is that they are all getting older, all at the same time, so it will be hard because they might all pass on around the same time, or all get sick at the same time. And that will make it 4 times as hard.

Six is alot of cats but if she can afford to have that many and is taking care of them all then I dont see a problem with that many. Its only a problem when the cats are not being taken care of properly.

I have five cats, but I live in the country an old farmhouse in france so its ok. I prefer dogs really but our cat had kittens and the kids fell in love with them, there six years old now, no trouble really, they just pop in and out of the house when they like. I also have a lovely dog (golden lab)

Personally? That is too many. The smell alone of a cat or 2 is gross. But six? Yuck.

Maybe 100 cats or however many cats it would take to start interfering with your lives.

no one loves cats more than me. Life time abition to run a cattery. But my husband insists that two is more than enough. So thats my personal limit. Maybe if I had a farm or a big feild Id try to push my luck.
