Why are some women (men as well) flirts?

What do you think causes this?
Since this is an amorous behaviour without serious intent, what do they hope to accomplish?

I am a flirt. "grin! I think it has to do with the way I was raised. I had a boyfriend each year from the time I was in kindergarten. My mom raised me to be a girlie girl and taught me how to flirt. She was a flirt as well. I think you got this discussion from me. lol I love your discussions. :):)

Are you? very few people will accept that they are flirts. LOL I'm sure you don't mean it the way other people understand flirting.
Have you posted a discussion about flirting? I didn't know. I thought about this because when I woke up this morning, my wife was talking to our neighbor whose daughter ran away, she could no longer stand her mother always telling her she is a bad girl and a flirt. A disgrace to the family.

Well your right I dont mean in the sense as to what some people think. I like to get attention so, I grin alot and I laugh and make other people laugh and have fun. I dont go sleep with a guy I meet on the street. I do have fun with them though. Did i get your attention?? lol

i think it is normal for men, but abnormal for women, okey do not get me wrong,
there is a saying that men are born polygamous, right? and i believe in that.
and about women, it is wrong to flirt if you are married or with someone else..
