whats going on with relationships nowadays?

years ago I was in a stable relationship where we occationally took a break but we got back together, we never worried about honesty in the relationship nobody cheated on their partners where I grew up it seems.... and then I moved to the city probably about 3-4 years ago and Ive ended up with more relationships with different people, and it seems that dishonesty and cheating with your partner is a far more accepted action, what going on nowadays? I know i grew up in the middle of nowhere and things are different in the city but with 4 different relationships in 1 year ending with my girlfriend cheating on me, it just seems really wierd to me
