Death Penalty or Life Imprisonment?

Would you opt for death penalty or life imprisonment in punishing offenders? My view is that the death penalty is too much of an easy way out for people who have, for example, murdered several people. You take his life. Big deal. He's probably already prepared to die. Life imprisonment.. Life without parole? I don't think that's such a big deal too.. I mean, yea maybe they'll suffer for the first year they're inside but if we leave them there long enough, they'll start making friends and become, I dunno, part of the jail's insurance policy or something. They could just learn to live comfortably in there with food and accommodation provided for. I would think that serious offenders should be imprisoned for like a year or two then put on the electric chair or something. So in that everyday of that one year, they'd wait to die because I think it's probably the waiting that kills them slowly. While they're waiting, make them watch videos of people dying in the chair too.. or any other method of death penalty for that matter. What do you think?
