Your views on first impressions??

first impression is certainly not the last one. as you meet a person more and more.......see him/her in various situations......u get to know the person and form an opinion about him/her which could be different from the first one.

I was told that when you first meet someone, They tell you who they are. It's up to you to listen. Ignore that and suffer the consequences.

I was always taught to never judge a book by its cover...so i was never one to believe in first impressions. I would hate for pple to form an analysis of me just from a first meeting. It takes time to really know and understand other people. Sometimes when you are meeting someone for the very 1st time, you might not be at your best for example, you could have just recovered from a flu, your kid might have kept you up all night, etc, etc. And then there are people who would just put up an act just to impress you for the first meeting but eventually turn out to be real jerks. So I always give pple the benefit the doubt. If their first impression is extremely good, then perhaps it is a lasting impression but if their first impression is bad, i might give them another chance to proof me wrong.
