The Art of Dying

Never would I imagine that we would lose one of the most beloved member of our family. That made me sentimental, melancholic as you guessed. He was finally fetched by the boatman. Thing we could never accept until this day. He was just a stranger in our town. He had no plans in life. A never-do-well person. A nuisance, dysfunctional, name it and he had it. But as the wheel turned into new direction, so did he. He became a teacher, a cellphone repair instructor, dance instructor, model of our community, a mutitalented person. In fact, he was the BEST BET as a community official, say our chairman. Proud to say he was MORE than a brother to me. We had shared so many interests in life, music, technology, politics, and religion, and so forth. July 31, 2005, I saw from my very naked eyes how the Almighty Father took him away from us. It seemed the family was carrying the world on its shoulder. It wasn't right, we thougt. It's untimely. Behind the river of tears, we're still thankful my brother-in-law never suffered much. It was shown on his face. Adding to the fact that many many many people had cried and attended to his funeral even the leading figures in our town. As we lose someone we loved, appreciate some people who care and the way God is taking us back to Him.
