I wud definately go for the laptop becoz of its portability.. Regarding the desktop, it holds its own place.. Ofcourse its easier to use a desktop pc, but in my case I wud go for Laptop....

Having a laptop is always better than desktop. You can carry that where ever you want.If you have wireless internet connection. You can connect to internet when ever and where ever you want.In a developing country like ours we prefer using desktop since there are very few laptop users and if it needs repair then it will proof costly to us.

Laptop is good, but I prefer desktop pc because it's more comfortable to use, It's cheaper and you can change one device a time, when I have a laptop pc you can change only some device and so you have to change your laptop more often.

Linksys Instant Wireless Network Kits - The two Linksys PC cards with the PCI Adapter. To get the adapter working, you plug one PC Card into the adapter to transform it into a wireless terminal for the desktop PC.
user frendly choice eh ? I don't think there is different in use friendly, if you're looking for a user friendly, it should be from the application or the operating system that runing inside the computer, but if you're looking for a computer that could be bring anywhere freely without need much effort than you should go for laptop, since taking move a desktop computer arround is make your muscle trained more ^^.

I prefer laptops due to their mobility. Maybe a few years ago I wouldn't feel the same but Laptop quality has come on leaps and bounds. They are far more sturdy and less likely to crash on you. I use a Dell inspiron but I also have a desktop. I usually sit up all nite playing online poker on the laptop.
