do guys like sending TEXT MSGES???!......or is it just a girl thing???

Well I honestly hate and can't stand text messaging. It takestoo long to write, it's a waste of time and you can't really explain and express yourself as much. I rather not message back the person and call him or her when I get the time to.

i think for a man it's just normal. i've also had a bf before who doesn't reply to all of my texts. so when i send him about 30 messages a day, he was only able to send 10 replies. we always had a fight about it also. but i think we girls just really wanted they're company always. so even if we're in the comfort room or eating we always had our celphones with us.however, guys are not like that if they'll eat, they'll just eat. if they will watch tv, they'll watch tv. it irritates them when you disturb them on what they're doing.

Girls just TALK more than men do. Period. They txt more, the phone more, they write notes in class more... women like to GOSSIP. Men don't. So they may NOT text as often or call as often. It doesn't always mean that he ist THINKING of you, or that he is trying to avoid you. It just means that the act of texting isn't important to him.

It's not a girl thing.. I send MSGs. It's not girly.. right..? Tell me it's not really. If it is I will have to do something manly. Like set my balls on fire.

oh no....its not just the girls definately!!! i knw this guy...who sends me msges constantly...!!! wen hes in class....out partying...and even wen hez off to sleep!!! gosh its almost irritating!!

I kind of disagree with only girls like to send text massages because boys also do that too. Really, on my last phone bills, my service provider stated that i have sent 575 massages in 25 days time. I think that's a lot but i do notice some men don't reply massages as they think better to call then massages, it just waste of time poking on the keypad than just call and make the information transferred!

I don't know about text messaging, but a certain friend of mine pretty much never replies to my e-mails, yet he'll complain if I don't e-mail him. Wha???? I don't get it. Oh well... Whatever... I guess it's a pretty normal thing for a guy to not respond to messages. :P

I'm too old to appreciate the text messaging thing and I really don't like the abbreviate word thing. I do think it is a "girl" thing and boys have different thinking than girls do, so don't take it too personally. ~Donna

my hubby has never sent me onme he prefers email, and the phone..i think some boys are not into it..or they don't want to be bothered..they like to feel they are in control of the relationship by communicating only when they want..i have seen a lot of men like this.,.their needs being more important than their girl's ..sorry to say this..but i have seen a larger proportion of boys to girls have this mentality..just a personal experience..may not be overral the case..

Maybe he just is uncomfortable sending text massages. Does he type a lot on the computer, I am curious. I send a lot of text messages especially if I am at a place where I can't talk on the phone, like in a crowded bus or train, doctors office or a place that is very noisy.
