i have been diagnosed with the beginnings of o/e in my knees and find them quite painful... here in Ontario (Canada) you can't even be seen by a specialist without an MRI, so i am waiting for my mri appt... i walk with a cane on especially bad days, my family are pretty good in helping, but what can i do to cope with the pain? (i take ibprofin) are there any natural herbs that you suggest? Thanks in advance :-)

You could try taking some glucosamine tablets. I have psoriatic arthritis and i take glucosamine every day. Also eat plenty of fish. If you don't like fish, you can buy omega-3 fish oil tablets from your pharmacy. I also use a cream called "Arthroaid" and I rub that into my affected joints a couple of times a day. You can also buy magnetic knee braces. I find the magnets really help if I'm particularly sore when I go to bed. I hope I have given you some helpful ideas and hopefully some of them may help.
