how to spy your partner if she/he has an affair?

i have one way to spy your girlfriend/boyfriend to know if she/he has another relationship with somebody else. take down all she/he do a day within a week. determine what his/her vacant time and where he/she spend it. hire a spy to look over her/him during the leisure.
do you have additional way to spy them?

Why waite your time and breath, if you can trust your partner, then you should not be with them. A relationship should be base about trust. Save your money and energy for better things.

what if your relationship with him getting cold and you feel that theres someone in between of the relationship.
how would you face it or should we forget or don't care about it. maybe to spy is not a bad decision if theres a good reason to do it.
