Anyone anti-social in "RL" but find it amazingly easy to find friends online?

What are your feelings on this? Do you feel like you know why this happens? Please post your thoughts.

I find myself like this a lot. I find it much easier to portray my thoughts and feelings in written form, not just online, but in real life as well. If I can write it rather than speak it I usually will, unless its with somebody close to me. Also, with online friends you have a lot more control over what they find out about you, and when. I have friends who have never seen me, don't know a lot about me, but we still talk about specific subjects. I also have friends I met online, that I've gone on to meet in real life as well, that I count as some of my dearest friends.

I think a lot of people feel this way. The truth is though, that the people you call friends online are not necessarily real friends. What do you actually know about them? Everything they tell you could be a lie. My advice would be to enjoy visiting with people you meet online but reserve your trust and the term "friend" for people you meet in real life and are able to judge up close.

Hi, This anti social thing has a lot of meanings. At first I myself think I am anti social, but then after starting a discussion on social phobia I think I am more into being an introvert - which is normal. Introverts and extroverts are divided into half in this world. Extroverts don't understand introverts, that's why we are always condemned as being rude, arrogant and feel better than others. Actually that was not the case. Introverts are more comfortable connecting to others using ideas and minds, not using direct people to people or mouth to mouth. In other words, introverts communicate mind to mind, not mouth to mouth. So we are always lack of energy when we have to socialize in real life, but become energetic when we communicate by online specifically by writing. I am shy, but I am not anti social. It is just because I am an introvert, I respond differently in communication than the extroverts.
