Are you a plant lover and are just great at taking care of plants? Or do you kill it as soon as you buy it, lol. I am one that just can't keep the things alive. I have some plants in my home but I just can not keep them looking alive and healthy. I water them like they're supposed to be, give them light, or so I think but am just terrible at keeping them up. I just love plants when I see them in other peoples homes but I can't keep them looking that beautiful in my own home. How about you? Do your plants look beautiful in your home or do they look half dead, like mine, lol...?

I can say that i kinda have a green thumb.. I really love plants and i used to help my father in planting trees, ornamental plants and others. I also do some landscaping. Planting sometimes need some experience and knowledge. I sometimes read books, manuals on specific plants that we're planting. And my greatest achievement in planting is landscaping a whole resort. Every plant, trees, shrubs that you can see here was planted by me and my father.. Check this site: www.bahaymarikit.com Have fun.

Yes. I do love plants. But unluckily I can relate to you. hehehe. One time I planted a vegetable seeds at our backyard, nourishes as how it supposed to be. But it hardly grew up. Then my housemate planted the same type of seeds... after few months.. we were able to harvest veggies form our backyard. This past weeks, I even read a book about planting, still it didn't work for me. hehehe... But I'll keep on trying. :-)

I get discouraged and give up most of the time when my plants die. Guess I need to work harder at having more patience. Good luck and keep trying! Thanks for resonding.

Plants are like animals. You have to look at them and talk to them at least once a day. Maybe you think that's crazy, but I know what I am talking about. Try it. It is simple energy exchange between people and plants. Mine plants always look beautiful.

You know I've never heard that before. But if you do it and it works, than you're probably right. Might have to try that. Thanks for your response!

I can't grow plants indoors. It's a joke when I get a plant--how long it will to take me to kill it! But, guess what? I have a "green thumb" when I garden OUTSIDE. I have beautiful outdoor flowers, and I can cut them and bring them indoors. Gardening is great exercise and it's very relaxing.

Well you give me hope, lol. Maybe I might be great in gardening too. I've never tried it but really want to this summer. Hopefully I will have better luck with that than I do inside the house! Thanks.

I beleive everyone has the ability to take care of plants if they learn how to. Sometimes we expect that if we buy a plant and just give it water now and then or water it twice evryday, it will grow. News Baby! Plants must get moisture and since they breathe through their leaves, all they need is moisture on the leaves and they will survive. If we were like them, lots of us would not take a bath since we will have moisture on our skin often. LoL. You just keep reading on how to take care of the plants you have and I am sure they will live. Have a nice day.

Well I guess you're right. I think sometimes I just get impatient. So that could be why, maybe I just don't put really the time and effort that I should into them. Need to really work at that and learn more. Thanks for responding.

I love plants of all kinds, But sometimes they don't love me back.I have some in my house, and thanks to a friend to had the same ones I was able to get them to bounce back, by moving the one away from the light. And watering the other one less. They are tempermental little things, but they sure make the place feel more homey...

i had always been helping my grandparents maintain their ktchen garden each time i want to their place for my vacation. well i started my tryst with plants when i was about 9 years old....what happened is that my neighbours were moving off and they had just acquired a new collection of potted plants....during their loading of belongings quite a few of their pots broke.....so they let them be on the common area....i found them in a sad state and put them in a bucket of water...and begged and pestered my parents (who are laso plant lovers) to allow me to take care of them....so they let me plant them....and take care of them....well those plants still are with me now, more than 11 years. My aunts and even my grandparents have taken several offshoots from these very plants for planting....and a few other relatives. my mom still reminds me whenever she comes over to meet me how i had got those 10 odd plants on that day.... ever since the revival and growth of those plants i have added a few more pots and plants to my collection each year.

I think i do. I have about 30 plants in my home. I wish my yard was big enough for a garden, I would love to grow my own veggies.Growing hoseplants is something that my youngest daughter and I do together and she loves it, she calls herself a little gardner.I have a few friends who exchange thier cuttings with me so every year I add to my collection, I,m running out of space

That reminds me of my brother. He on the other hand is the one that is great with plants also. Think it has to do with my mom always making him the one that watered the plants since he was a little boy. I guess that's how he learned. So now that he's older he also has his house full with plants to where at times, like now in the winter we always tell him it feels like we're waking into a greenhouse or a forest because of how many plants are in his home, sometimes you can't even walk around without a plant being in your way. They're really nice though, makes his home feel comfy. Makes me wish sometimes I was the one that got to water the plants growing up, lol. Thanks for responding.

I like to see every kind of plants, but I am not sure if I am a green thumb or not. Because i never try to plant by myself, I only see my parents do that.

I love nature and I love plants. If I had more money I would buy and get more of it.. I have a very small garden in front of our house and an atis tree grew up and gives us fruit everyday. We also have chilis and gives us lots of it..We just water them everyday. And the nature takes it's toll in giving them sunlight. We protect them by not letting the kids pick on them. And I think my whole family likes the plants as well. Maybe your plants are just not getting enough sunlight...and too much water..don't drown them sprinkle water in their leaves as well. Sometimes they say talking to your plants help.:)

Lol, you sound a lot like me. I love plants too, especially those which has such lovely, colourful flowers but I can't seem to keep them alive. Maybe I water them too much or too little or... what? I also tried to reproduce ginger a few weeks ago - guess what happened? No, it didn't really die, it just disintegrated. I dug and dug and raked the soil, but it wasn't there any more. Right, I do NOT have a green thumb.

I am a plant lover but tend to kill them all eventually . I need a plant that makes some kind of noise or tells me when it is thirsty as I never remember to water them or when I do , I over water them . With all the noise in my house and everything else that wants something weather it is one of the children , my husband or the animals they all are quite loud about saying what they need and my poor plants sit there so quiet and I forget about them lol .

I do have a green thumb. I tried planting when I was younger. Now my sister does the gardening. I water the plants, when I feel like it,LOL! I love seeing flowering plants. We want to grow creeping plants to have some shade by the window. It will take a lot of work to grow plants but you get to enjoy it's beauty. Growing plants really needs a lot of TLC. :-)
