This years taxes

I did my taxes this year and almost had a heart attack! We don't let the government keep our money all year and get a return without interest (owe them money and see what happens). We usually get $200 back, this year we owe $2000. I can't figure out the problem. While I'm trying to figure out how to pay off the government, I read an article in the newspaper about how much money and retirement and excess monies are due to our representives, congressmen, etc and it really pissed me off. I can't afford to go on vacation and such and they have summer, winter, fall, and spring homes. What's wrong with this picture............? Something ain't right here...

look at what they get paid! If they had to live on min. wages like most they wouldnt have those other home and when they retire they still get paid I think this is wrong! and wow did your taxes jump did you make more money this year?

The govt. wins as always. We made alittle more, but not enough to cause this! We also lost the deduction of all the children they are all 19 and older.
