How old do yo all think teens should be to start having boy company?

I feel my mother IS being overprotective because she says that I can't have boy company at all.She says I have to wait until I move out(I'm 16)and I feel that is stupid.She knows that I go over my boyfirnds house and I ased her wouldn't she rather we be under her supervision and she know what we are doing and she said "No because what ever y'all do at his house y'all ain't gone do at mine."Don't you people who are parents find this stupid?

I don't find it stupid at all, I would be the same way with my child. I raised her with values and morals. She is to respect her elders, and her parent's. I find it very disrespectful. There are alot of things that are involved with boys and for your mom to allow this boy in her house it would be taken as condoning and she sounds like she is against it. I am the exact same way. What ever fool things kids do out of the home it is there mistakes when it's done in your parents house it's there mistakes. Just the way it is for me and it sounds like your mother. I would respect her wishes, when you get older and have kids of your own you will want that same respect for your wishes. Good Luck! She is trying to do the right thing!
